Cookies and Tracking
Our first-party campaign reporting records public page paths, referring website domains, campaign tags (UTM source, medium, campaign and content), contact-link clicks and accepted contact-form submissions. A random browser-tab session ID links these events and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. The same reporting also counts how a visit moves through a page: the tour stops it reaches, how far down the page it scrolls, which page sections come into view, which contact button was tapped and where it sits on the page, whether a contact form was started, sent or could not be sent, whether a form was shown with JavaScript turned off, and whether the screen is phone-sized or larger. For each page it also records how long the page was on screen and in use, how far down it was seen, the page section on screen when you left it and the one you viewed longest, and whether you scrolled, tapped or typed at all; and for the visit, the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), the browser family, and whether the browser reports being automated. We use these to leave our own visits, testing and automated traffic out of our counts. It never records what you type into a form. These analytics records are retained for up to 90 days. This reporting does not store IP addresses, form contents, full referring URLs or private quote links. Your IP address is only compared, at the moment of the visit, with a scrambled list of our own networks so that our visits are not counted; it is not kept. We honor the browser's Do Not Track setting for this first-party reporting. Campaign labels may identify the site or advertisement that referred a visit; they do not tell us what a person asked an AI service. Separately submitted contact details remain part of our inquiry records.
The Sunrise House tour keeps a short summary of what you explored (the parts you reached, how far you scrolled, the devices and scenes you tried, the topics you picked, whether you saw the 3D or illustrated version, and how long you spent) in your browser tab’s session storage only. It is sent to us only with a booking or contact request you submit, and it is gone when you close the tab.
We also use the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel on public pages to measure page visits and successful inquiry submissions from ChatGPT advertisements. The Pixel sends event and browser attribution information to OpenAI and uses first-party attribution cookies. Our event payloads do not include inquiry text. OpenAI's automatic advanced matching can detect supported contact information, normalize it and hash it in your browser before sending those hashes to help match conversions. We skip this Pixel when your browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and do not send measurement events from admin pages or private quote pages. This is separate from the first-party campaign reporting described above.
We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, on our public pages to understand how visitors find and use the site. It collects the pages you view, how you arrived (the referring site and campaign tags), device, browser and screen information, interactions such as contact-link clicks, and an approximate location that Google derives from your IP address (Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP address itself). It sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID> to tell visits apart, which last up to two years. We do not send Google Analytics page views from private quote pages, admin pages or review-request links. Google processes this data as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser.
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your website experience. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
